Therapy / Pamper Day / Pamper Break Requests
All Therapy, Pamper Day and Pamper Break bookings are subject to availability.
Making Your Booking
All bookings must be prepaid at the time of making the booking with the exception of Pamper Breaks booked more than a month ahead when a deposit will be taken at the time of booking. The balance will be payable one month before the start of the Pamper Break.
Cancellation Policy
Pamper Days
In the event that you are unable to attend a Pamper Day booked at Downe, we will endeavour to re-schedule your Pamper Day to a time convenient to you PROVIDED THAT you give at least two clear days notice of cancellation. (Please be aware that this is a very customer friendly cancellation term. Even cancellation with three or days notice will cause us real cost, one of which is that we may well have turned other bookings away because of your booking. Cancellation on two days notice INEVITABLY CAUSES US A LOT OF COST. Please, please be aware of this. We are simply unable to provide a refund on less that two days notice.)
In the event that it is not possible to re-schedule your Pamper Day we will refund the monies paid by you (less an Administration Fee) provided that you have given at least two clear days notice of cancellation.
If the booking is made within two days of the Pamper Day, you are expected to be able to attend on the date that you have reserved, and therefore we are unable to offer a refund.
(Please note that group bookings (i.e. for five or more individuals) are subject to a different Cancellation Policy. We just cannot afford to permit group bookings to cancel on such short notice.)
Therapies
In the event that you are unable to attend a therapy booked at Downe, we will endeavour to re-schedule your Therapy to a time convenient to you provided that you have given at least two clear days notice of cancellation.
In the event that it is not possible to re-schedule your Therapy we will refund the monies paid by you (less an Administration Fee) provided that you have given at least two clear days notice of cancellation.
If the booking of a Therapy is made within two days of the appointment, you are expected to be able to attend on the day and at the time that you have reserved and therefore we are unable to offer a refund.
Pamper Breaks
In the event that you are unable to attend a Pamper Break booked at Downe, we will endeavour to re-schedule your Pamper Break to a time convenient to you PROVIDED THAT you give at least two week’s notice of your wish to reschedule your Pamper Break. (Please be aware that this is a very customer friendly contractual term. Even rescheduling with two week’s notice will cause us real cost, one of which is that we may well have turned other bookings away because of your booking. Re-scheduling on less than two week’s notice INEVITABLY CAUSES US A LOT OF COST. Please, please be aware of this. We are simply unable to re-schedule the Pamper Break on less than two week’s notice.)
In the event that you wish to cancel a Pamper Break booked at Downe all monies paid to Downe at the time of cancellation will be forefeit.
Gift Vouchers and Certificates
All Gift Vouchers are valid for six months from the date stamped on the voucher. Gift vouchers cannot be refunded in total or in part and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. If a booking was made with the use of a Gift Certificate and you cancel the booking within forty eight hours of the appointment in the case of a Therapy or within two clear days of the day in the case of a Pamper Day, the Gift Certificate will be deemed to have been used for the cancelled Therapy or Pamper Day as appropriate. We try to be as responsive as we can to holders of Gift Certificates to enable them to enjoy their gift at Downe and will exchange therapies or allow the recipent to use the Gift Certificate as part payment towards a greater purchase but Gift Certificates cannot be refunded
Contra-Indication / Special Requirements
There are contra-indications to some therapies.
Therapies at Downe are carried out subject to the completion of our Medical Questionnaire (‘the Confidential Client Record Form’) which you be asked to complete upon arrival.
If you have any special requirements that we should take into account when you visit us (for example Heart Conditions, High/Low Blood Pressure, Circulatory Disorders, Epilepsy, Arthritis/Rheumatism, Diabetes, Allergies, recent surgery, ongoing medical condition or you are pregnant), you should seek the advice of your doctor prior to your visit that the proposed therapies are suitable for you and that you are able to use the facilities at Downe. If you do not let us know of any special requirements at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fully accommodate you on your visit.
If you have any concerns please check with Reception at Downe (01237 441881) and where appropriate your doctor. If any treatment is found unsuitable we will recommend an alternative where possible, subject to availability.
The Spa
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the smooth running of the Spa, ongoing maintenance, refurbishment or unforeseen circumstances may result in some of the facilities being withdrawn at short notice. All facilities are subject to availability.
The Gym Equipment
We provide gym equipment for your use. However, Downe Health Spa is not a gym club and we do not provide fitness assessments for our clients or train them in the use of the gym equipment.
If you regularly attend a gym club and are familiar with gym equipment, you should have no difficulties using the gym equipment in accordance with your normal training programme.
If you are unfamiliar with gym equipment or do not regularly use gym equipment our staff will demonstrate simple operation of the gym equipment so that you are able to use the equipment during your visit as a ‘tester’ to see if you would like to join a gym club with similar equipment in the future.
In all cases use of the gym equipment is entirely at your own risk.
General
These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. If any provision of these terms and conditions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.
Downe Health Spa reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions from time to time by posting new terms and conditions on this web site.
