Feedback forms
We believe that the people best able to critique and comment on the service we provide are our clients. As a result we always request feedback from out clients.
We have designed a simple Feedback Form which we ask our clients to complete at the end of the Pamper Day. Since we started the Health Spa in 2003 our average score on every one of the questions we ask is over 9.5. We think that is a tremendous achievement particularly as our regular visitors (quite rightly) continue to demand improvements in service and facilities. It is that consistency of very high levels of visitor satisfaction over six years of operation that should give prospective visitors the greatest confidence when deciding to visit Downe. Our visitors’ recent discovery of www.tripadvisor.co.uk and your ability to read their entirely independent reviews will hopefully reinforce your belief in the validity of the Feedback process we are describing.
The Feedback Form includes questions on the Quality of Therapies, the quality of the Therapist, the quality of the Facilities and the quality of the Customer Service provided. It even includes a question on Value for Money.
Visitors are very welcome to look at the original Feedback Forms completed by past visitors.

Perched towards the edge of North Devon’s Hartland peninsula lies Downe Health Spa and Cottages… and if you’re looking for an idyllic way to spend a day, or even a mini break, then look no further. This place doesn’t cut corners, everything is exquisite, refined and aimed entirely at your pleasure and relaxation. My partner booked me a pamper day and I’m so glad he did. This includes use of all the facilities plus a treatment of your choice. I chose the wonderfully relaxing aromatherapy massage which was skilfully and professionally delivered. I added a manicure but you can add a host of other treatments to fill your time. My tip though… don’t over fill your time, let yourself just relax in the spa and feel the tranquility surround you. It’s not cheap, but then you wouldn’t expect this level of service to come cheaply. On the other hand it’s not overpriced either, I guess at the end of the day you get what you pay for. And talking about the end of the day a nice touch is that you get a gorgeous traditional Devon tea, with home made scones still warm from the oven, and locally made clotted cream… perfect! A week ago today I was enjoying my belated Christmas Present – a Pamper Day at Downe. It was wonderful. After the high pressure of the previous six months in Iraq I couldn’t have wished for a better festive present. Everything about the day (and the extras I treated myself to the following day) was so enjoyable. The slow un-rushed start to proceedings – a warm greeting, a cup of tea and time to retreat into my own bubble. …..the good fortune in having one of your therapists as my therapist was such a treat. Her manner was so very professional, discreet, caring and receptive to my needs. Please pass on my sincere thanks to her for all her quiet attention. It really is such a pleasure to visit a place where everything has been thought of and “corners have not been cut”. My lunch was greatly enjoyed – I could have sat reading in the conservatory for hours! We both enjoyed our shared cream tea which was the end of a lovely day. Thank you again, we hope to be back.
